Preparation & Recovery

Every surgical and dental procedure begins long before anesthesia and continues well after your pet goes home. At Aspire Veterinary Hospital, preparation and recovery are essential parts of the procedure.

Preparation focuses on safety and comfort. Each pet receives an individualized anesthesia plan based on their health, procedure, and needs, with careful monitoring throughout. We pair these protocols with our low-stress hospital environment to reduce anxiety before procedures, helping pets feel calmer and more comfortable.

Recovery is designed to support healing and minimize stress. Pets recover in our quiet, comfortable Casco kennels where integrated ventilation, heat, and soft lighting provide a gentle recovery zone.

Surgical Services

We provide scheduled surgical procedures at Aspire Veterinary Hospital, including:

  • Spays and neuters
  • Soft tissue surgery (such as mass removals and wound repair)
  • Orthopedic surgery (such as TPLOs)
  • Oral surgery and tooth extractions
  • Biopsies and other medically indicated interventions

We do not offer unscheduled emergency surgeries (such as walk-in cesarean sections or trauma surgery). When immediate emergency care is required, we recommend bringing your pet to an emergency or specialty hospital.

If your pet is booked for a surgery at Aspire and they have a stuffed animal in need of expert repair, our surgical staff will be happy to operate on your pet’s stuffed animal the day of surgery at no additional charge.

Dental Services

Our dental services build on routine wellness care and are designed to address both visible and hidden oral disease.

Dental services include:

  • Professional dental cleanings (COHAT) under general anesthesia
  • Dental extractions when teeth are fractured, infected, or painful
  • Treatment of periodontal disease and oral infections
  • Evaluation of oral masses or areas of chronic inflammation

When advanced or specialized dental care is needed, we coordinate referrals or on-site specialty support to ensure appropriate treatment.

Specialist Collaboration

Some medical conditions benefit from advanced expertise. When appropriate, Aspire Veterinary Hospital consults with anesthesia specialists via telemedicine and works with visiting surgical specialists on-site or coordinates referrals to trusted specialty centers, ensuring continuity of care and clear communication throughout the process.
